
On December 20, the Government of Lithuania has decided to suspend all passenger flights from the United Kingdom during an extraordinary meeting. The ban took effect on 21 December 04:00 and will last until 31 December 24:00.
Lithuania will temporarily facilitate the procedures and conditions for issuing visas to Belarusian citizens as of 21 September. After their entry into force, the changes will significantly simplify the procedures for relocating workers and their families. This is especially important for Belarusian companies, which would decide to transfer their businesses to Lithuania. At the same time, this step implements an important part of the plan to help the people of Belarus.
Taking into account the countries and regions of importance for Lithuania’s tourism business, the travel advice has been updated for those planning group travel on direct charter flights to Tunisia, the Portuguese regions of Madeira and the Azores.


On 1 June, Lithuania opened its fifth Honorary Consulate in Santander, the capital of the region of Cantabria on the north coast of Spain. Ana Belén Gutiérrez Lavín will head the consulate.

On 31 March, an aircraft of Vietnam’s Bamboo Airways landed at Kaunas airport with 111 citizens returning to Lithuania from Vietnam and Thailand thanks to the efforts of Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Lithuania in China, and the Honorary Consul of Lithuania in Vietnam Nguyen The Kien.
