CONCERT OF TALENTED LITHUANIAN AND GEORGIAN CHILDREN
On May 14, in the United Nations Office in Geneva, a talented Lithuanian and Georgian children classical music concert "Keys of Youth" took place, organized by the Lithuanian and Georgian Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva. This piano concert was supported by the United Nations Office at Geneva General Director Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, concert opening was held by Georgian Minister of Culture Guram Odisharia. The event was organized in collaboration with the Lithuanian Honorary Consul of Switzerland, Michel Sogny.
In his speech, Ambassador Rytis Paulauskas emphasized culture being an important part of public diplomacy, the role of the international community, and also underscored that this concert was held together with Lithuanians long- standing partner Georgia. This event will be another contribution to strengthening the EU's relations with the Eastern Partnership countries in preparation for Lithuania's Presidency of the EU Council.
To listen to Michel Sogny Foundation “SOS Talents” winners - Barbara Tataradze(GEO), Milda Daunoraite (LT), Ilia Lomatatidze (GEO) and Kasparas Mikuzis (LT) gathered numerous audience: Permanent representatives and diplomats residing in Geneva and Bern, as well as Swiss Lithuanian and Georgian communities. Young pianists played works by M. Sogny, B. Dvarionas, E. Griego, V. Barkauskas F. Chopen.
