Declaration on Gender Responsive Standards Opens for Signature

The Declaration on Gender Responsive Standards and Standard Development opened for signature in a ceremony at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on 14 May 2019 under the aegis of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

More than 50 international, regional and national standardization bodies, including International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Telecommunications Union (ITU), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and others, commit, by signing this Declaration, to ensuring gender equality and meeting gender-specific requirements in developing and adopting various technical standards. We are proud that the Lithuanian Standardization Department chose to become one of the signatories.
