Eastern European Group Meets with Human Rights Council President

On 2 September, the Eastern Europe Group had a meeting with the President of the Human Rights Council Ambassador Coly Seck of Senegal, in preparation for the 42nd session of the Council. The meeting was chaired by the Permanent Representative of Lithuania in Geneva, Ambassador Andrius Krivas.
The meeting focused on key organisational aspects of the upcoming session and overall functioning of the Council. The 42nd session of the Human Rights Council will take place from 9 to 27 September. Lithuania has taken over the regional group coordination from Latvia on the basis of rotation and will carry it out till the end of the year.
