Lithuania Convenes Regional Group Meeting on Biological Weapons Convention

In the run-up to the next Meeting of the High Contracting Parties to the Biological Weapons Convention in Geneva, Lithuania, in its capacity as the Eastern European Group's cooridnator, convened a meeting of its regional group on 20 November 2017.
At the meeting, representatives of the Depositary States of the Convention -- the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, and the United States -- presented proposals for elements of a possible intersessional process and discussed them with the group members. The meeting was chaired by the Permanent Representative of Lithuania. The following day, analogous briefings and discussions took place in the other regional groups of the Convention.
