Lithuania Makes Recommendations to India

Lithuanian Delegation took the floor in the Universal Periodic Review of the Republic of India during the 27th session of the UPR Working Group of the Human Rights Council on 4 May in Geneva. Lithuania recommended India to carry out independent investigations in all cases of attacks against journalists, to enact a law for protection of human rights defenders, to introduce an official moratorium on the death penalty, and to criminalize marital rape.
