Lithuania Minister of Education and Science visit in Geneva

On March 12-14 Lithuanian minister of Education and Science Dainius Pavalkis together with the president of Lithuanian National Academy of Science professor Valdemaras Razumas will come to Geneva. The purpose of this visit it to meet with the Director-General of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) Rolf-Dieter Heuer and other scientists of CERN in order to discuss the future relationship between Lithuania and CERN.

In addition D. Pavalkis and V. Razumas will meet with Lithuanian scientists, currently working in CERN, as well as with Lithuanian physics teachers, who participate in CERN teachers programme.

During the visit in Geneva, D. Pavalkis will have a meeting with the board of World Economic Forum and talk about the new innovations of technology and science and youth career possibilities in this field. Also, D. Pavalkis will visit the Library of United Nations office, where Lithuanian archives, representing our country’s work in the League of Nations during the period 1920-1940, started to be digitalized.
