Lithuania presented the Instrument of Ratification of the Protocol to the Forced Labour Convention

On 5 March, Lithuania’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva Ambassador Andrius Krivas presented to the Director-General of the International Labour Organization Mr. Guy Ryder the Instrument of Ratification of the Republic of Lithuania of the 2014 Protocol to the Forced Labour Convention.

Pursuant to this Protocol, Lithuania has committed to guarantee adequate protection to victims of forced labour and protection of their rights, and to take effective preventive measures to prevent the phenomenon of forced labour.
