Lithuania Takes Part in UN Women's Guild Bazaar 2018
On 20 November, the Lithuanian Permanent Mission ran a stand at the annual charity Bazaar organized by the UN Women’s Guild at the Palais des Nations. As in previous years, the event was a great success.
At the Bazaar, Lithuania was represented by very attractive products of companies “Šerkšno medus”, “Biržų duona”, “Linas” (Panevėžys), “Unikalus vaizdas” and by beautiful Christmas accessories manufactured by talented Lithuanian artists in Belgium, Switzerland and in Lithuania itself. We thank the authors and companies for their participation and support. The Lithuania stand was serviced by the staff members of the Permanent Mission, members of their families, interns as well as by members of Switzerland’s Lithuanian community wearing traditional national costumes.
At this year’s Bazaar, more than 70 countries offered to visitors products of their industries, art and crafts as well as their traditional cuisine. The UN Women’s Guild uses the revenues of the Bazaar to support children’s health and education institutions and projects in the world’s least developed countries.
