Lithuanian Candidate to CRPD Introduced to French-Speaking Ambassadors in Geneva

On March 6, Prof. Jonas Ruškus was introduced to the Group of French-speaking Ambassadors in Geneva as Lithuania's candidate for re-election to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. At the meeting he presented his activities during the first term, as well as academic and professional experience in the field of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Prof. J. Ruškus is a Professor at the Social Work Department of Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania and a Board Member of Kaunas l‘Arche Community, dedicated to empowering people with an intellectual disability to play an active role in the society. The election to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities will take place in June this year.
