Lithuanian Expert Elected Chief Coordinator of UN Mandate Holders

Geneva, 5 June 2018. Professor Dainius Pūras of Lithuania, the UN Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, has been elected Chairperson of the Coordination Committee of UN Special Procedures.

In this capacity, he will lead the overall coordination of activities of some 80 independent UN experts holding thematic or country-specific mandates.
