Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and the State Patent Bureau of the Republic of Lithuania

On September 24th in Geneva (Switzerland) a memorandum of understanding was signed between the State Patent Bureau of the Republic of Lithuania (SPB) and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (MEDTU). The purpose of the memorandum is to promote the trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania.
The objective of this Memorandum is to provide cooperation mechanisms for promoting implementation of measures relating to intellectual property legal protection on the basis of mutual benefit, equality and respect to the legislation of the States of the Parties and the international treaties which the States of both Parties have entered into.
After the signing of the memorandum, the parties intend to cooperate in the area of intellectual property information, exchange relevant information, scientific knowledge and experience, organise and participate in the organisation of events related to the protection of intellectual property.
