The delegation of the Seimas met with Lithuanian community
On 26 April, Speaker of the Seimas, H. E. Mr. Viktoras Pranckietis together with the Member of the Seimas, Mr. Eugenijus Gentvilas, while on an official visit to Geneva, visited European Organization for Nuclear Research (commonly known as CERN) where in the Globe of Science and Innovation he met with Lithuanian community living in western Switzerland.
The meeting facilitated an exchange of views on the issues that are most relevant for Lithuanians living abroad: the legalisation of dual citizenship, the perspective of Lithuania’s associated membership to CERN, the fight for a healthier society in Lithuania, the need for an objective and well-balanced information dissemination about Lithuania in the media. Speaker of the Seimas invited his fellow citizens living abroad to actively participate in Lithuanian elections and referenda, to maintain a personal relationship with Lithuania, and always carry Lithuania in their hearts.
