Dr Dalia Leinartė elected to the UN Human Rights Committee Added 2025-01-22 On 21 January, Lithuanian expert Dr Dalia Leinartė was elected to the United Nations Human Rights Committee in elections held in New York. As a joint candidate of the Baltic states, Dr. Leinartė beat competitors from six countries and will serve on the Human Rights Committee from 2025 to 2026.
Added 2025-01-21 On 20 January,  the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, met with German Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Berlin. It is the first meeting of the heads of Lithuanian and German diplomacies. The Foreign Ministers discussed bilateral cooperation, the deployment of the German brigade to Lithuania, the security situation in the region, support for Ukraine, and sanctions against Russia.

The Head of the Lithuanian diplomacy will meet German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Berlin.
